I had a great stay at the Basecamp. Actually twice. The location can easily be reach from the airport by bus. Cheap and quick. The hostel is super clean and well maintained by the staff. Very friendly people and make it feel like home. When I am around, I certainly will return.

Great place to start your time in Alaska! Everyone was friendly and had great recommendations. The all female dorm was nice. We kept the window open at night because it was a little hot but the window made it perfect! The chickens are so friendly.
