Casa Margouya is a backpackers accommodation located in the heart of Puerto Varas, very close to Llanquihue Lake and some of the best restaurants, bars and discotheques of the city.
We are a tiny but warm place! Staff is very friendly and we care very much about having a great atmosphere. Here you will meet travellers from all over the world, share stories and have a lot of fun. If you like adventures, there are also plenty of activities that we can arrange for you, such as: treking, rafting, canopy and kayaking, among others.

Payment upon arrival: Cash

I wasnt planning on staying in Puerto Vares, but do to circumstances I had to. Margouya is a nice place to stay, very friendly staff and volunteers. The ktichen is nice and cozy. It did felt a bit crowded, I had a small room with five beds and we tripped all over eachother. It made a good laugh tho.

Great location for a small, social hostel. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Met a lot of nice people, great atmosphere! Only thing is that there are only 2 showers/toilets, so it's no hostel for the impatient.

Margouya is an ok hostal with friendly staff and a very hostel like feel to it. It is however as many have mentioned quite small so (if sleeping in dorms) it is difficult to “recharge” in privacy anywhere and you can only go to bed when the last people in the common room go to bed. It is also quite humid (it was raining when we were there) and the bathrooms appear to have some water/moisture damage/signatures. It is ok for some days, but I wouldn’t stay for long durations. The location is superb.
