La Buena Onda is the perfect place to stay in Matagalpa! Facilities are great and the whole place feels like home. Free coffee in the morning, extensive book exchange, loads of information on the region and comfortable beds. The owners are extremely nice and helpful. Only slight downside during my visit was the lukewarm shower but the warmth of this place totally compensated this. Highly recommended!

Really nice support from the lady in charge, always ready to help and sharing homemade jugo and fruits! Kitchen to full use and all you need is available (and otherwise made available). The dorm as well the wooden deck would need an upgrade, but with the amount of tourists visiting I understand this is currently not a priority. Thank you for the nice stay!
