Karandi Hostel is the perfect place for nature lovers and those looking for an authentic Costarican place. Recently open, it was built with techniques and materials that allow a better interaction with the environment. Comfort in our rooms was the goal, while visitiing the Tropical Rainforest.
Located in the proximities of the Marino Ballena National Park and just 2 km away from Uvita, we offer mixed and female only dorms. All with a lavatory, terrace with garden views and shared bathroom. We introduce the concept of retractible beds in the zone, making possible to increase dorm size and turning rooms private. Spacious gardens, shared kitchen and a small forest we call: Reserva Karandi in which you can spot +200 birds species, mammals and multicolor insects.
Even when the area´s main attraction is whale´s sighting, there are multiple options, some of them at walking distance from Karandi. Beaches, waterfalls, rivers and many more, come and enjoy of one of the most biodiverse places in the Planet. Pura vida!!!

This hostel is 11/10!
It’s super clean and located right in nature but close to the main things to do in Uvita.
The beds are comfortable and the rooms in general are nice with an outside space. The kitchen is well equipped and gets cleaned often.
Last but not least, the people working there…
They are amazing!!
My bag got stolen on the beach and the staff was zo helpful and so kind (big thanks for this).

Very nice and quiet hostel with comfortable beds in a 4-bed dorm. Kitchen is a bit small for the amount of people.

Amazing hostel! One of the best I stayed in. Beds are comfy and everything is cleaned every day. The staff is super nice. And the atmosphere as well, you can be social but not necessary! The surrounding is amazing and close to the beach!
