Hostal Cocobomgo

Alles wat je nodig hebt in een budgethostel. Voor 8 euro per nacht; nette dorms (4 personen), keuken, afkoelplekje bij de rivier en enkele hangmatten. Ik heb er fijn verbleven voor een kleine prijs.

Overall very nice hostel! Clean rooms with A/C and fan. Location is right in the middle of minca, with direct access to the little river. Just a few meters from where the colectivo/taxi will drop you off. Kitchen was clean and overall good but could be better, 5 of the 8 gas pits did not work. Laundry a bit pricey (8k per kg) and they don’t fold it, just throw everything in the bag. Unfortunately we had to ask for toiletpaper every morning, they should put a little more backup for the night.

I don’t really get why this hostel has such a high rating. There were no lockers and when I hand to hand in my passport (he had to keep it for a bit because the energy was out and needed to make a copy) I asked if it was secure but he left them laying there just near the front door. Energy was out again next day. My mattress had such a big dent in it I slept terrible. Also no hostel for meeting another people. Only the location was a plus
