This beautifully unique hostel is housed in a traditional orange farmer’s manor and, as such, each room is a little different. Guests can stay in a dormitory as well as private double or twin rooms. Guests will easily appreciate the modern simplicity and comfort at Out of the Blue that also manages to pay respect to the historical architecture.
Besides the indoor community area you can find a magical garden where breakfast and family dinners are served and also relax in the hammocks or in the pool.
Out of the Blue has a perfect location so you can easily reach every point of the São Miguel island. It's far away from the noise and only 3 minutes walk from Ponta Delgada downtown, restaurants, bars, cafes, markets, and the ocean.

Loved my stay; extended it multiple times. The hostel attracts kind, openminded and positive people. The hostel is a great homebase from which to explore the entire island. The staff is great too: special shoutout to Luna for a great breakfast, and the cleaning staff for always smiling, singing and carrying a happy vibe!

One of the nicest hostels I've ever been to! The staff is very helpful and caring. Breakfast is amazing! And you should definitely go to pizza party on Friday ;) The location was perfect!

Absolutely the best hostel I have ever stayed. Close to the city centre. Well maintained and superclean rooms.One can enjoy a perfect breakfast, fresly prepared by the cook. Sign in for well balanced dinners at night for a reasonable prince. Tours organised by the hostel guides, to see more than the commercial organisations have to offer and at a much lower price!! High quality and if you look for a good hostel then book for Out of the Blue hostel!!!!
