Welcome to LEBO’S SOWETO! We offer a unique and personal experience of Soweto. Integrated with the community around us we invite day as well as overnight guests to be part of this vibrant township. Our day guests can book one of the interactive tours by walk, bicycle or tuk-tuk as well as relaxing with a home cooked lunch or dinner in the outdoors in our community park and around the fire and boma. An overnight experience at the Backpackers Lodge offers the budget traveller a choice of accommodation – camping, dormitory and private En Suite rooms. Home cooked meals served by the fire and the opportunity to explore Soweto on their own by safely strolling around and mingling with the locals or on an organized tour conducted by local tour guides. Community volunteering, self-guided tours and free bicycle hire is also available for the curious traveller staying longer.

A must when in South Africa. Be spoiled by the amazing staff and enjoy the great vibe of this hostel. Serve amazing diners in de evenings and the breakfast was fine as well. The bike tour through Soweto makes this memory unforgettable.

Onze kamer was aan de kleine kant maar wel superproper. Keuze tussen verschillende soorten ontbijt en avondeten. (extra te betalen) is goed: geen spek met eieren. Bij het avondeten had nog niet iedereen gedaan met eten of de schotels werden al afgeruimd. Dus: zoveel mogelijk opscheppen ineens of het is weg.
's Avonds is een kampvuur waar je met zijn allen kan rond zitten met een pintje uit de bar.
Heel tof is de bikers tour door Soweto, met een gids die veel en goed uitleg geeft. Aanrader!

This hostel is worth your time and worth your investment. Lebo’s has a community minded mission that extends past the tragic passing of its founder. Staying at Lebo’s delivers a true Soweto experience while giving you the ability to proudly claim you made an investment in the local community AND the rockstar staffers who work there.
