Great hostel for the price. Not a big communal space, but you can use the big kitchen in which we made breakfast and coffee. The room was big enough for us and our backpacks and had its own heater which was very nice. The neighbourhood is not the best, but never had problems. It is close to the buses and ferry, but pretty far from the center.
Owner is nice and likes a conversation, but also leaves you to do your own thing. Tried to help us with the local buses.

good to stay for one night and rest up, there was a tv in the room and a lovely shower! wasn’t a social hostel, but think that wasn’t the point of it. was clean and a very comfortable bed

We had a great stay at Hostal Jacob! The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and always around to answer any questions. The hostel is a 10 min walk to the bus station which is very useful as we did a lot of day trips from there.
