They made us pay local taxes although the website clearly says 'Price including ALL taxes'. Thats never happend before anywere else. Staff is not friendly and helpfull. We had to book two different rooms for two nights. They made us check out en check in again, but for check in we had to wait untill 16 PM. Ridiculous, as the room was already cleaned en ready to move in. Pool is not there as it is with a private apartment complex, is not accessible for guests. Not a friendly nice place to stay

Our stay at Ericeira Chill Hill Hostel was exceptional, largely due to the outstanding hospitality of receptionists Pedro and Adriana. They introduced us to Portuguese culture, took us to local seafood spots, assisted with our surf lessons, driving us to Ribeira d'Ilhas and even drove us to the pharmacy once. Their personal touches made our 10-day stay feel like a home away from home. Highly recommended!

Overall this place is great, the chill hill part is not a joke so be ready for a steep walk up to it. The surf lessons they offer at reasonably priced and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It was a very pretty location as well.
