The hostel is located in walking distance of the city center and the rooms are relatively big. However there is only one bathroom per floor and there is no hot water. Or it changes back to cold quickly. You can’t really shower without making the bathroom wet and the shower head sucks. One bathroom was actually occupied by staff in the morning,m. We had to make our own beds, which is fine. However some of us didn’t have any sheets and you could see all the stains on the bed.

The Goslar Hostel introduces a totally new concept : the no-reception hostel. Instead of a that, you shall call a voicemail or something whose number is given to you when you arrived at the main door. If you are lucky (unlike me), someone or something will answer your call and hand you over a code that you can use to access sort of a letter box in which your room key lies. In theory. In my case, I had to improvise. I used the bathroom and the small common living room since I couldn't get it.

Never go this place!!!
I came at the place in 19:00, and no one was there. No matter howuvh I called and knocked no answered. At the end I had to sleep on a couch I found inside the building, when my towel is my blanket. Do yourself a favor and never go there!
