The hostel and staff are amazing. Very welcoming and the hostel felt like I was at home. I highly recommend the stay here. Risa and Yuki were amazing. They showed me and my friend great places to eat and provided great places to see in the area.

Staying at Guest House Kura was one of the highlights of my trip to Japan. It offers an authentic experience that I wasn't able to find anywhere else. The staff is super friendly, giving me tons of useful information about the area, helping me plan out some of the best days of my trip and even taking me to local events I never would have found myself. Evenings in the lounge were always a great time with both locals and travelers all hanging out together, and the overall accommodations were great

An amazing hostel - absolutely worth the trip to Nagano, was the highlight of my trip to Japan. The staff were so welcoming and kind and offered many suggestions about where to eat and visit nearby. The hostel is also very social so very easy to meet people. Could not recommend it more
