I had a great stay at Rafiki’s! The rooms were clean and nice. I loved how they named their rooms after the cities of Tanzania. Just the whole look of the hostel is really cool. The breakfast was also good, lovely that you can choose how you want your eggs ;). Really nice place!
Nice and proper hostel
- Comfortable and clean
- Very nice shower
- Location good: not in centre, as suggested, 25 min. walk. But eventually I liked the place more then the centre. More quiet and a very nice view from the rooftop on mount Kilimajaro.
- The owners/guestladies flexible, but sometimes not in most heartwarming mood
- Laudry service is ridiculously expensive: $1-2 per piece and I wasn't informed. They did give me reduction.
- Airport transfer also expensive
I stayed in Rafiki Backpackers for almost 4 weeks and I loved it every aspect of it! The staff is great! Welcoming, helpfull and always happy! It felt like home after a little while because you are able to cook for yourself in the amazing kitchen, there is a communual room with a few couches where you can hang out and have chat with the other guests or just relax and play around on your phone. The beds are really good and the girls clean it every day so it's always nice to come 'home'!
