Welcome to Viajero Guatapé, your retreat in front of the Guatapé reservoir lagoon in Vereda Cristalina. Our hostel is the perfect place to disconnect from routine and enjoy the nature of this beautiful part of Antioquia.
Start your day by watching the sunrise over the Guatapé lagoon with a coffee in hand. During the day, enjoy our water activities, such as trekking or cycling. Or relax by the pool with views of the lagoon while sipping a cocktail and enjoying a dish from our Lake Club restaurant to recharge your energy.
Connect and have fun at our free evening activities, where you can meet people from all over the world. At Viajero Guatapé, getting bored is not an option!
Accommodation options:
Shared dormitories: mixed or female-only; each bunk bed has a privacy curtain, power outlet, and lockers for your belongings.
Private rooms: enjoy more privacy with an en-suite bathroom, some with balconies and views of the lagoon and its beautiful sunsets.

Cancellation policy: You can cancel or modify your reservation without charge up to 24 hours before your arrival. You must inform us in time or show up to avoid being charged for the first night.

Lake Club restaurant: open from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM.
Parking: available for guests.

My favorite hostel in South America. If you plan on visiting Medellin, you HAVE to spend at least two nights at this mountain resort in Guatape. The staff is amazing, especially Daniella, who will give you an an excellent fruit tasting and probably beat you in beer pong. She also makes a a really good margarita. The pool and hot tub are really nice. Also the food is really good, especially the beef loin. Saturdays they have boat parties. I’m sad to leave and want to come back as soon as I can.

It’s their newest hostel and it’s on such a beautiful property!
pros: typical viajero amenities, pool, jacuzzi, clean rooms, fans, secure rooms, STAFF! Best part of my stay was staff they were so helpful and nice and fun they made the night 10x better with their energy alone! food was delicious and even had gluten free options!
cons: 45k taxi to la piedra, 30-50k taxi from guatape station (get off at el peñol station instead!), food is a bit expensive and u have to rely on it, amenities expensi
