Hostel Aurora is a fun, laid-back haven for backpackers looking to break away without having to leave the city. We are situated in just 100 mtrs from Mariott Hotel & 200 meters from Weligama beach.
Our property provides FREE Breakfast by the River, while a bicycle & scooter rental service is also available.
Day tours to Galle Fort, Dutch Church & LightHouse (30 km) is also available.
At the hostel, our guests can indulge in Sunrise yoga by the river, surf by sunset and evenings in our Cafe with specially made recipes from Srilankan, Indian, Arabic & Japanese cuisines.

Such a cute spot by the river. Very peaceful but still walking t distance to the beach and town. Saranga is a really friendly host, makes a great breakfast for free and family dinner for 900 rupee. He also organised activities at the hostel like morning yoga which was very nice.

One of the best hostels in Sri Lanka. Awesome location with beautiful scenery. Short walk to the beach and local shops. The owner is the best! Very good attitude to all visitors and cooks amazing food. I had a very enjoyable time staying here!

i adored my stay here at sarangas place! since it’s located at a quieter area right at the river in nature it felt like the perfect oasis. we ended up staying a week here instead of two nights, it really felt like a home🩷 breakfast is amazing and switches between sweet & savoury and coffee and fruit is also included! at nights we were eating all together whatever saranga cooked and he even did cooking lessons!! can’t recommend this place enough!
