This property is a 10-minute walk from the beach. A 5-minute walk from the main square of Playa del Carmen and 200 m from a bus stop. The famous boulevard Avenida 5, full of restaurants, shops and nightclubs, is located 400 m from the hostel. Alme Hostel is 0.6 mi from the beach where Mamita's and 40 minute drive from the archaeological site of Tulum and Cancun International Airport. The ADO bus station is 500 m. The Xcaret ecological park is a 15-minute drive.
The private rooms have a new modern furnishings and include air conditioning and a private bathroom with toiletries and hot water. Alme Hostel has a communal kitchen a living room with TV.

Not a nice atmosphere. They didn’t accept my dollar bills since it had a tiny crack in it. Bed were horrible and when I turned on the AC the owner went without knocking in the room and turned it off. Kitchen is tiny and really basic and almost no common area. Everywhere in the hostel there are reminders of what is forbidden in the hostel (like washing your clothes) and the fees that come with it. Do not recommend.

I can honestly say Hostel Alme is an amazing place if you want to stay in the true Mexican side of Playa del Carmen (The Location is pretty centric from party and calm) You get your value for money and Elvira is an amazing host!! I’m sure to come back to her hostel every time I travel back to Playa!
