This place is fantastic. The photos really don’t do it justice. The common area and the facilities are killer. The attached brewery is a really nice bonus, and the staff there are wonderful. The location is great too. I had a lot of fun there, though I could see the lack of hostel front desk during the day possibly being a minor issue.

I had a great stay at the Otaru Tap Room. My room was very comfortable and it had a well kitted communal kitchen and living area. Located two streets back from the main canal and 7 mins walk from the train station it was a perfect location. The staff at Otaru Tap where incredible kind and helpful in showing me my way round Otaru.
