TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE with this hostel. I knew I would be arriving late so got in touch to see how I could access the building. They didn’t reply to emails, were extremely rude on the phone but eventually said that someone would let me in on arrival. Well this was a lie as no one did, leaving me having to find a new place to stay in the middle of the night.

Saul and the people working at Casa Amarilla were so nice and helpful, the hostel is a little out of the way so if you plan on staying out late it may not be best but if you like a quiet feel and a friendly staff you found the right place. protip: have Saul plan your trip before going to the tour agencies he can help you get discounted rates and the lady who lives next door makes the best Choclo con Queso. it was a bit damp always which might just have to do with the climate there.
