I cannot rate the Jirafa Rose hostel, because just before my arrival, and 2-3 weeks after my confirmation, I was told that website had mistakenly over-booked. So the manager, Oscar, offered for me to share a 'penthouse.', which turned out to be a private room in his nearby apartment, shared with him, his girlfriend and their dogs. They were all friendly,, hospitable and helpful. So, I rate his apartment-- it is nothing like what we mean by a 'Penthouse' in the US! The view was great.

The staff within the hostel were wonderful, the location was amazing and the beds were very comfortable! The toilets were pretty dirty majority of the time we stayed here, the bar which was advertised was not open and the room was located in quite a load part of the hostel.

Negative: Linen not clean. Staff knows nothing about my questions. When I arrived, it was closed, at noon. They gave me a room not one I booked. They changed also my bed when I came back. Positive: very good location. Mattress good, and the hostel is quiet during the night.
