Backpacker's Nest is located in Amritsar, just 0.6 km from Golden Temple. It is in the downtown area of the city and is amidst the Hall Bazaar. Jallianwala Bagh is half a kilometer away, and Durgiana Temple is 1 km from the hostel.
Backpacker's Nest is a great place for backpacking travelers looking to blend in with the ethnicity of Amritsar. You will find a shared kitchen at the hsotel. The rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi connection. We keep proper care of hygiene and each room is maintained on a daily basis. A TV and PS3, as well as a computer are provided.

We loved the place! It's a perfect place for travellers. Close to The Golden Temple, old center and bus station. Some good restaurants are around the corner. The room was really big and clean. There is fast and strong wifi in the room. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

Let me start by saying the young female receptionist was wonderful! She was the nicest of staff, super helpful and overall just great and hardworking. If the rest of staff was more like her, we definitely would’ve given a better rating, :). +1 for her!!
Negatives: no security at all (rooms can’t close), Toilets were clean but usually out of paper; staff looked uninterested; walked in on dorms (felt uncomfy sometimes!) and played their own loud music all the time. Didnt feel really welcome.
