Nice hostel with lots of character. The staff is very friendly, helpful and speaks english. On Saturdays there are movie nights which I think is very thoughtful and it’s also a good way to meet other travellers and make new friends. Overall I’m very happy and satisfied with Chesdon Hostel and on my next visit in Hualien, I’ll for sure be staying there again. Really recommend!!

Very friendly, helpful host & positive atmosphere in the lobby with the guests!
The beds are a little bit short so if you're bigger than 185cm you'll start touching the bed frame.
Other than that, I'm really happy with the decor and the stay I had there !

The owner of the hostel is an absolute sweetheart! He really cares about his guests and their wellbeing. He gives a lot of recommendations for the area and tells you which places to visit in Taroko national park. He always greets you with a smile and makes sure you're having the best time in Hualien!
