Skanstulls Vandrarhem has been recommended by Hostelworld users for its ‘quiet nights’ and ‘very comfortable beds’ in a ‘really cool part of Stockholm’. Our guests tell us this hostel is ‘very clean, modern and spacious’, with a nice kitchen and clean bathrooms and is ‘a very safe place with security lockers’. We like that this hostel is off the beaten path but is within walking distance of the city’s main attractions, with ‘lots of cafés nearby where we could mix with the locals’.

Welcome to Stockholm's new and modern hostel, located in Sofo, Sodermalm, in the heart of Stockholm City, next to the metro station Skanstull.
Here you can enjoy the relaxed, cosy atmosphere or just saunter around in the famous area of Sofo with its culturally diverse shops and cafe's.
Our hostel is located in the centre of Sofo, known for being Stockholm's cultural midpoint, with its restaurants, gallerias, music events, bars and odd boutiques. From here it's a short walking distance to (among others) the Old City, The Globe, the royal castle and shopping.
We offer our guests free Wi-Fi), laundry 100SEK, some games and a ibrary.
We offer cosy rooms with new and modern beds. You can choose to stay in a larger dorm with twelve beds for a cheap price or you can choose to stay in a smaller, more private room. Rooms are of a nice and cosy standard, where we try to create an individual character, interactive for our hostel.
We have separate showers with WC for men and women, lots of WCs in the corridor space.
We try to keep a high cleanliness standard and want to make sure that our guests sleeps in new and fresh sheets.
Bed sheets and towel included.
In our library you can find books in different languages; here you can also lend a book or switch your old book to a new.
Laundry facilities: 1 washing machine + 1 tumble dryer + 1 washing powder = 100SEK
Please note:
For same day bookings, please book earlier than 6 pm. Later bookings will not be guaranteed.
Check In:
The reception is open 9 am - 4pm Monday to Friday. We are closed for lunch between 12am and 1pm.
Weekends limited opening hours.
Payment must be done before arrival, you will recieve a PayPal-link by e-mail.
After we recieve the payment a code and instructions how to check in will be sent to your e-mail.
Cancellations:
All cancellations must be done at latest 6pm 2 days before arrival. In case of late cancellation or failure to check in, the amount of the first night is charged and any remaining nights cancelled.
Others:
Payment must be done before arrival.
All areas of the hostel are animal and smoking free.

In the e-mail the reception was open from 8AM to 8PM. I arrived at 6 PM and thought to be OK. That was not true at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The telephone numbers provided at the front door either gave a Swedish comment that asked me to call back between opening hours but these they changed to 4 PM!!!!!!!!!!!11 the other number gave no response. One comment was to check the e-mail where I found a payment request but no entrance code, up to today. got in by a helpful guest and emergency number inside.

Location of this hostel is great and stuff helpfull and nice. We stayed in a triple room and unfortunately that doesn't have a window. The room was clean, but because its really small and it has no window... you really don't wanna hang out in the room. Atmosphere was allright, but people that stayed there were way older than we (we're 29) and not your typical travellers. Big plus was the womans bathroom. Big rainshowers, enough space to hang your stuff and two sinks so you can get ready together

Nice place to stay. Nearby Skanstull metrostation. The only thing was my room that was really small and no window. I was really allergic for the dust in the room. Next time I would prefere a different room. Besides that: good choice to stay.

SKANSTULLS BOUTIQUE HOSTEL zegt
What makes us special is that we're a genuine hostel located in the middle of a genuine part of Stockholm. We love Södermalm, and so will you! Here's the place where you can stroll around with the locals, the hipsters and the bohemians. The waters are always close and so are the parks so there's a festival feeling every (non-rainy) night of the summer. I think our cool location in town, near SoFo, is among the best things about us.
Our hostel is relaxed, friendly, well set-up and clean. You can sleep tight in the high-quality beds. You can also do your laundry after a long journey, upload your Facebook photos with our free Wi-Fi and computers, cook free pasta, tea and coffee or just have a chat with our staff in case of boredom. :) For fun our guests usually chat away while nom-nomming on free pasta in the kitchen, or borrow a game or listen to music. We actually have a ton of extras available-you can buy your bicycle card here and we have a small library where you can borrow or exchange a book (in many languages) or borrow guidebooks and games. We'll take good care of you!
