Bit shady like the city itself. I found the employees very kind and helpful, but the guests kind of weird... Part of the hostel is on the other side of the street and doesn't have a kitchen. For one night it was fine, but I would never want to stay here multiple days.

When i arrived I did not get a tour through the hostel from the lady behind the desk. I had to ask where the showers and toilets were. The room was clean and big. Unfortunately there was only one shower and toilet to share with 8 people so I had to wait all the time. And the hostel is next to the train so in the night it is hard to sleep through it

Everthing we looked for in an overnight stay in San Jose. we areived around 10pm and the check in went smooth. In our room there seemed to be someone in the wrong bed and the staff immediately got us another room. The place felt safe, the beds were comfortable and had light, outlet, curtains and nice warm blanket. The room was spacious and clean. Shower was great and warm. The light was a sensor and kept going off, but that was not too much of an issue. Breakfast food.
