Wonderful stay at Villa Rosa! Gianni was a fantastic host. He is very knowledgeable about Modica and recommended the best places to eat and explore. I had a great time visiting the churches of San Giorgio and San Pietro, Caffè dell’Arte, and the pizzeria La Contea. The hostel itself is in the countryside near Modica and is very relaxing and comfortable. Thank you, Gianni, for making my time in Modica so special!

Arrived at Villa to find no one home despite telling them we would check in at 5.00 pm. Tried to raise them on the phone but number was not able to connect. Waited until 6.30 pm and left to seek alternative accommodation which was extremely difficult. Many places closed after summer. Eventually had to check into a hotel. Got a call from Villa owner at 8,30pm wanting to know when we where arriving...........clearly not focused on his business. Having said that, Villa was shut up and looked like

If you are looking for a relaxed stay you should come to villa Rosa. The owner is very welcoming and gave us lots of typical sicilian treats. In the evening we had a lovely stay on the terrace, accompanied by music and friendly people. We had a breakfast with fresh croissants and nice strong espresso. The room was clean, cool and had a large bed.
