Located 15 minutes walking from the port in Moyogalpa or 5 minutes by Tuk Tuk (we’ll even pay for your first ride when you have a reservation with us). Life is good has both dorms and private rooms, all private rooms have an ensuite.
With it’s chilled out vibes, open areas, hammocks and fibre optic wifi, restaurant and bar it’s the perfect place for you to relax and forget about the rest of the world.
In our kitchen we prepare fresh food, using only local products and recipes from all over the world. We can cater to all your foody needs (vegans, vegetarians and of course meet eaters).
You can enjoy a drink from our fully stocked bar of beers and cocktails while sitting on the watchtower and looking over Conception volcano or at the stars of the milky way.
We can organise anything you’d like to do while on Isla Ometepe: Motorbike, quad bike and scooter rentals by most trustful companies. Tours of our two beautiful volcanos (Conception and Maderas), the nature reserve where you can see monkeys and some of the worlds most beautiful butterflies, kayaking through the forest, hiking up the waterfall, visit petroglyphs - indigenous ancient places. Whatever it is, you would like to do, we have you covered.
We offer:
4 Bed Cozy Dorm - The room features 2 bunk beds with lockers, a fan and electrical outlets for each bed and a shared bathroom located next to the room.
Private Double Room - The room features queen size bed, bedside table, fan, light for night reading, electrical outlets, hangers and a private bathroom
We offer clean rooms with bathrooms, restaurant with amazing food cooked with love made from fresh local ingredients, bar full of refreshing Nicaraguan beer, good music and atmosphere. Reasonable prices, full service and healthy environment makes your stay unforgettable. Staff is multilingual (EN, ES, Hebrew, GE, RU, SK, CZ).

First of all: rude!! Honestly we never experienced such weird interactions with the owner of any hostel we’ve stayed at before.
In the description of the hostel it is mentioned that they will pay for your tuktuk to get from the ferry to the hostel. When we asked to get the money back after our stay, the owner resisted this because apparently they have contracts with the drivers and it should be noted in the description that only HE pays them. This was definitely NOT mentioned because we checked beforehand and thus we paid the driver ourselves when we arrived.
After this minor inconvenience over 100 corbobas (!) he started to act inappropriate and childish, saying things like ‘I am not your mama’ and judging us on our behavior in and around the hostel.
Excuse me sir, I believe YOU are the host and we are not here to entertain you and make you comfortable but the other way around.
He refused to give us our tuktuk money back + tried to scam us by adding products on our tab.
The best part is yet to come!
When we turned around and walked to the gate to leave, he whispered ‘*********’!?!
Too bad for him, we’ve heard it all.
To add to the list of cons:
- there were massive ants in our room every night, on the walls and in the toilet
- no drinking water available, only when you buy
- trying to bring certain companies down like El Pital, calling it ridiculous.
- getting a private room means hearing every other person in the hostel because of the thin roof, you could literally hear your neighbours pee.
Let’s say we would not recommend this hostel nor ever come back again, unfortunately.

Best hostel in nicaragua! For sure the best foor; order the tikka masala. Great and helpful owner, helped us book a flight to corn island, arranged scooter and a tuktuk from the port upon arrival. Really recommend staying here! Location is perfect as you get around with your scooter to the other part of the island
