General Group Booking Terms
By making a group reservation through Hostelworld.com you agree to the following terms and conditions as set by Hostelworld.com and as set by the hostel in question.
- In order to make a group reservation on Hostelworld.com it is necessary to pay a deposit. The balance is due directly to the hostel according to their payment conditions.
- The booking deposit is non-refundable.
- Please note that any cancellations must be notified directly to the hostel at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled arrival date, unless otherwise stated in the hostel's conditions.
- Hostelworld.com are not responsible for changes or amendments to your reservation once it has been processed. All correspondence with regard to changes to your booking need to be dealt with directly with the hostel.
- Cancellations for reservations must be made directly with the hostel and must conform with the individual hostels cancellation policy (see below)
- It is your responsibility to pay the balance of your accommodation cost to the hostel in accordance with their payment conditions (see below). Failure to do so may result in your reservation being cancelled by the hostel.
- Individual hostels may have special booking conditions relating to group stays, please read the hostel booking conditions carefully before making your reservation.
Hostel Specific Terms & Conditions
The remainder of the amount due will be charged to your credit card 1 week prior to arrival. Should numbers or room selection change, the per person deposit times the number of people who actually travelled will be deducted from the total accommodation charge levvied by the hostel.

Additional Terms and Conditions
In order to make your stay at Hostel Šakić a pleasant experience, please read the following House rules.
Bed linen is included in the price of the accommodation. Guests can pick up clean bed linen at the reception after staying 7 nights, free of charge.
The towel is included in the price of accommodation. Guests can exchange it for a clean towel at the reception after staying 7 nights, free of charge.
Guests that check out early for any reason will not get a refund for the remaining nights.
Guests cannot use the hostel for commercial purposes.
Forgotten personal belongings will be removed from the hostel after 15 days.
Nudity is strictly forbidden.
During your stay please be rational in water and electricity use: make sure you do not leave the water running and turn off the lights when you leave the room.
Please study the evacuation routes in case of a fire located on the inside of your room door. We also kindly ask you to notify the reception about the fire immediately.
Cleaning the hostel is done daily between 8 AM and 12 PM.
Guest check-in time is from 12 AM to 10 PM. In case of early arrival, guests are allowed to leave their luggage in the hostel but access to the rooms will only be allowed after 12 PM.
A valid identification document is required to check into the hostel. A passport or identity card will be accepted. The hostel administrator, hostel manager, and hostel staff can request additional information from guests.
Check-out time is from 8 AM to 12 PM and in exceptional cases until 1 PM. Guests are required to remove all their personal belongings from the room and lockers on the day of departure prior to 12 PM. Guests will be charged an additional night if they stay in their room after 12 PM!
ROOM / BED BOOKING
When booking beds in shared rooms for you and your friends, we may not be able to accommodate all of you in the same room. Therefore, we recommend that you book the whole shared room if you want to be sure that you will all be staying together.
ROOM/LOCKER KEYS AND BILL
Upon check-in at the reception you will receive a room/cabinet key and the bill as proof of payment. The hostel manager can ask to see the bill at any time so you are obligated to keep it safe, as well as the room/cabinet key. In case of losing your room/cabinet key, guests will be charged €10 compensation fee.
RULES OF CONDUCT
Comfort, un-hindered experience and security of our guests are the primary tasks of Hostel Šakić. Any guest, who in our opinion endangers the comfort and security of other guests or hostel staff, will be asked to leave the hostel's rooms without refund.
Guests are expected to behave respectfully towards other guests, hostel staff as well as hostel property.
Since our primary goal is to maximize guest satisfaction and maintain a good relationship with them, please avoid making noise in the hostel’s bedrooms and hallways from 10 PM to 8 AM. You can stay in the hostel’s lounge 24 hours a day but please do not disturb others when returning to the Hostel late at night.
Persons other than those registered guests are strictly prohibited from staying at the Hostel. Only a person registered at the reception may use the hostel’s accommodation. The guest reception area is the living room area from 8 AM to 10 PM. Every guest is obligated to announce their visitor. Visitors are required to leave an identification document at the reception during their visit.
Smoking is prohibited on hostel premises. Hostel staff has the right to request that guests found smoking in the Hostel depart from their hostel room immediately without a refund. A €50 penalty is also possible.
FOOD, BEVERAGES AND ALCOHOL CONSUMPTION
Consumption of food and beverages is forbidden in the hostel’s bedrooms. Instead, it is permitted in the lounge. Please throw away the trash into the trash bins.
Alcohol consumption is allowed for guests over 18 years of age and can be consumed strictly in the lounge while complying with the rules of conduct.
VALUABLES, SECURITY AND STORAGE
Every guest is responsible for his or her own personal belongings. The Hostel offers its guests the possibility to store their valuable possession in lockers. Hostel Šakić is not liable in case of theft, loss or damage of personal belongings; therefore we recommend that you secure your luggage and personal belongings by putting them into a locker or by putting a security lock on them.
DAMAGE OF HOSTEL ŠAKIĆ’S PROPERTY
Guests will be asked to compensate for the damage they have personally caused to hostel property due to their irresponsible behavior. It is strictly forbidden to take hostel inventory out of the Hostel. Guests who have taken inventory or anything else belonging to the Hostel out of the Hostel will be asked to leave the hostel's rooms without a refund. During check-outs, hostel manager and hostel staff have the right to check the guests’ rooms to determine whether or not the hostel's property has been damaged or alienated. In case of damage or alienation of property, guests will be charged the price of the estimated damage costs or the price of the hostel’s inventory.
Hostel Šakić collects and uses information you provide us with or which is supplied to us solely for the purpose of booking your reservation/issuing invoices. In case of agreement, we can inform you about other services and offers.
HOUSE RULES COMPLIANCE
The hostel administrator, hostel manager and hostel staff have the right to check at any time, without the guests’ permission, whether the House rules are implemented.
Any cancellations resulting from agreement to these terms and conditions under false pretences will result in loss of deposit.
