Had quite a nice kitchen and eatting area, super helpful/friendly reception staff and a good breakfast spread. Missed trying the sauna which was sad. The only surprise was the expectation to vacuum and lightly clean the room before departure, I didn't realize that when I booked a private room. Overall an easy place to stay.
Hi. Thank you for all the kind words, it makes us extra glad to hear the nice words about our staff. Nice to hear that you liked the breakfast. Cleaning ain't incluided in the hostelprice, and cleaning your own room is very common at hostels here in the north. But if you like you can always add cleaning to your bokking. Sorry to hear that you missed out on the sauna, but that gives you one more reason to come back to us again and try it out. Kind Regards, David, Slottsskogens Hostel.

Loved the place, we stayed in a private room and enjoyed a sauna session. This place had all the things, and is the first hostel I've seen to have a thrift store. A truely beautiful, restful place I would love to have stayed longer. I wasn't expecting to have a no shoes upstairs policy, so be prepared to have some inside footwear if you don't like walking in stocking feet.

a bit of a hike, 10 minutes to the red line but lovely place over all.
Hi! We are 7 minutes away from San Babila Metro Station :)

Gorgeous hostel with plenty of fun areas to hang out and relax or socialize. Probably one of the fanciest hostels I've stayed in and the beds were super comfy. I did miss having a kitchen to cook/store food in but their cafe breakfast was delicious. Staff didn't knock before coming in to clean in the morning which took us by surprise but over all a lovely stay.

Over all a great place to stay. The garden is the best feature with the pool, treehouse, shower, and foliage. Well stocked kitchen, but the pots/pans etc were not available until 10am when the back room was unlocked unless you had them drying by the sink. No lockers in the rooms, only small ones in the kitchen. Generally clean, with beautiful new bathrooms. Comfy beds. Bring a flashlight for overnight or ask for a night light as there were no individual lights at bedside. I'd come back again!

Loved this place! Clean, super helpful and friendly staff, lovely little town to rest in, it was great. My only complaint was that the kitchen had no pots or pans available for cooking. Microwave spaghetti all the way :)

Nice place, cool architecture. Don't forget to get your food out of the kitchen the night before if you're leaving after the reception is closed, they lock up.

What's not to love? Super close to train station, awesome atmosphere, has all the features you need in a hostel. Wish we could've stayed longer.

This place has a very homey feel to it. The bed is super comfortable and the showers are lovely and hot. The staff were really friendly and helpful in finding another place when it was accidentally overbooked. I've stayed here twice now and would come back. The tram to the train station is right outside the door and there's a tasty pizza place just down the street.

Quiet, relaxing atmosphere, loved the stonework in the rooms. It's easy to find with the directions and location is spot on for being in the old city. There were no lockers in the room but the staff locked my bags up in the closet while I was out during the day. They were very friendly and helpful with getting a sherut for the morning. I'd stay here again if ever I come back!

Perfect spot to get into Newgrange early in the morning. It was nice and clean and the small kitchen was adequate for simple cooking. The only downer was that the laundry machine wasn't working when we needed it!

The dorms were clean and had curtains around each bed - which was fantastic! The kitchen had greasy towels, a sticky floor, and a poor excuse for a can opener, but on the flip side, breakfast was free, made to order, and delicious. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and I'd probably stay here again if I were in the area. Great price!

It's a bright hip place with lots of energy. The under-the-bed drawers would have been great if I'd had a lock, but there was also cheap lockers in the basement if you don't. If you're driving yourself, there are a few parking lots just a few blocks away, no on-street parking right at the hostel itself. I enjoyed my stay, the staff were great and the burgers were fantastic.

There was a sink and mirror in the dorm which was really nice. It's a classy place to stay and feels cozy, just a tad strong on the incense in the hallway. I woke up around 2am and the street view from my room was enchanting with the lamp-post lighting. We didn't get to use the kitchen but it looked well equipped. I'd enjoy staying here again.
Thank you very much for your lovely comments and we are glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Warm Regards, Aoife & Maureen.

Instead of giving you access to the laundry machine, staff will wash it and place it folded on your bed once it's done for $5, which is rather nice. It's a good place to stay, has nice showers, 9 on-site parking spaces if you get there early, and a nice patio to sit outside. We met some of the coolest people on our trip at this hostel!

My favorite part of this hostel were the showers: large, clean, solid doors, consistently warm, and beautiful water pressure. Best showers of the whole trip. The atmosphere here is relaxing, it's just outside town with plenty of trees and grass, solid wood floors, good artwork, and plenty of space in the kitchen. I'd love to stay here again if I could.

If you're driving, there is on-street parking for free if you can wait til later in the day when spots start to open up. It's really close to the park and the visitor info center. They offer tea and toast for breakfast at 8am in their tearooms. This is where I started to realize linen included doesn't always mean a top sheet. We had the whole room to ourselves. Other than a few couches in the upstairs hallway, there's not much common area space to chill out in. Overall a good place to stay.

Crossroads is at a perfect location looking out over the city with the old walls next door. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the decor is pretty unique. We passed the other hostels as we explored the city and I still think I'd pick Crossroads above the others.

When we arrived I found we had been upgraded to an apartment in Athens Studios for free, instead of a mixed dorm. The place is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful, easy access to locked storage, and an awesome rooftop view of the Parthenon if you walk to the Backpackers. We got a simple but filling breakfast in the morning. If you are coming by car, parking is only street-side and was scare when we were there. It would probably be easier to park in a lot somewhere and walk in.

The views were absolutely amazing from the windows, and the rooms were decently clean. The kitchen was a little bit spartan with its utensils, so come prepared.

This was one of the nicer hostels we stayed at. Each bunk bed had a small shelf, which was so handy. The chocolate pudding was pretty good, so be there at 8 pm for it! I'd stay here again if I had the chance.
